Armor Corporal Course
The USMC 1st FR Armor Corporals Course is meant for Lance Corporals who wish to endeavor on the journey to becoming Non-Commissioned Officers. In order to be to take the training the applicant must complete the Armor Corporal Course Qualifying Board. If the applicant passes the board, they can attend the Armor Corporal Leadership Training. Once completed and passed the Armor Corporal Leadership Training, the Lance Corporal will receive a rank and billet promotion of Corporal.
Be a LCpl for over 4 months
No Pg11 in the past month
No NJP in the past 3 months
Must have a NCO sponsor and/or support of his or her CO
Must hold a secondary MOS for at least the past 3 months
Armor Corporal Course Qualifying Board
The applicant and his or her advocate will request for the Armor Corporal Course Qualifying Board. The Board will require the following: Regimental Sgt (Sgt Maj), Battalion Sgt (1st Sgt), one Company Sgt (Gy Sgt), two Platoon Sgt (SSgt), two Squad Leader (Sgt), and an applicant advocate (NCO that sponsors LCpl and defends the applicant on the applicant’s behalf during the closed deliberation). The sponsor will have the highest ranking board member start a party where all other board members and advocate will join.
